RUN GEELONG WILL SEE YOU RUNNING, WALKING AND ROLLING THE STREETS OF GEELONG ALONG THE STUNNING WATERFRONT AND THROUGH EASTERN GARDENS.

Both the 6km and 12km courses will see you running the streets of Geelong taking in the stunning surrounds of the Waterfront and through the Eastern Gardens. This year we have DJ’s, Drummers, Choirs, a Brass Band, a Pipes Band and many more live performances ready to entertain you throughout every km of the course, we want to make sure the festival fun follows you every step of the way!

For our littlest runners, the course for our Cotton On Kids 1km run is along a shorter section of the Eastern Gardens course with a big finish in our festival village. The course is guaranteed to be lots of fun with music, bubbles, characters and mist machines. Each child will receive a cute medal to reward their efforts.

6 COURSE CONDITIONS

(otherwise known as ‘The Serious Stuff’)

These guidelines are here to make sure everyone stays safe and is able to enjoy Run Geelong:

  • Only participants who have registered and have an official Run Geelong race number are allowed on the course.
  • Unfortunately pets, walking poles, scooters, skates, skateboards or bikes aren’t permitted on the course.
  • Prams are more than welcome! Our advice is if you plan to walk and push a pram (rather than run and push a pram), it’s best to participate in the 6km Typo Family Walk.

7 WATER/HYDRATION STATIONS

Volunteers will look after water stations with plastic water cups for you to pick up and drink whilst on the move. Please throw your empty cups into the cardboard boxes located on the side of the course.

8 MEDICAL AND FIRST AID

A professional medical service company will be providing medical assistance and first aid services during Run Geelong. They will have remote first aid stations at each of the water points as well as at the finish line (just near the finish arch). Please don’t hesitate to approach them if you need assistance or see anyone else needing help.
